World 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships

• In 1993 Tri-life Marketing (TLM) was started by offering “off-road” mountain bike duathlons and triathlons.

• In 1994 TLM hosted the first “24 Hours of Indiglo” in Canada, which later became the “24 Hours of Adrenalin”.

• The 24 Hours of Adrenalin grew from 170 riders in 1994 to 10,000+ participants in North America by 2002.
• In 1998 the announcement of the first World 24 Hour Mountain Biking Championships featuring solo riders to be held in 1999 at the Canmore Nordic Centre, Alberta Canada.

World 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships – W24C / WSC

• 1999 the first World 24 Hour Mountain Biking Championships took place.
• 2000 the event took place in Idyllwild California, USA
• 2001 the event continued in Idyllwild California, USA
• 2002 the event was moved to Silver Start Resort in BC Canada and “Age Group” categories were added for the first time.
• 2003 the Event moved to World Renowned Whistler Mountain Resort, BC Canada
• 2004 the event continued in Whistler BC Canada
• 2005 the event continued in Whistler BC Canada
• 2006 the event took place in Conyers GA, USA – on the 10th anniversary of mountain bikinis debut in the Olympics on the same course.
• 2007 the event headed to Laguna Seca Raceway in California, USA
• 2008 saw the event return to celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary in Canmore, Alberta Canada
• 2009 the event remained in Canmore
• 2010 saw twenty4 sports license the event for the first time outside NA. The event travelled to Australia.
• 2011 No event took place when a suitable host in the UK could not be found.
• 2012 the event becomes a standalone event and returns to Canmore Alberta Canada

• In 2010 the first championships took place outside of North America in Australia.

As the second organization on the globe to host a 24 Hour mountain bike event in 1994 twenty4 sports has paved the way for the sport in many respects. From the formation of the rules to the first ever electronic timing system to the professional approach to event execution and sponsorship integration the 24 Hours of Adrenalin series and World 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships have lead the way for 18+ years.

Twenty4 Sports Inc. has produced well over 200 – 24 Hour events.

Twenty4 Sports Vision
The World 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships including the World Solo 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships will continue to lead the way providing true world-wide competition for all age group, single speed and elite athletes. Case in point in 2012 the addition of two new team categories once again shows the vision. Twenty4 Sports is recognized by the endurance community (mountain bikers) as the industry leaders.
