HISTORY 1999 – 2012

W24C / WSC HISTORY

In 1998 we determined that a stage needed to be created which gave the best mountain bike endurance athletes in the world an atmosphere fitting a world championships. In 1999 the first ever World 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships for solo riders was held at the Canmore Nordic Centre in Canmore, Alberta Canada.

We believe that for any sport it’s important to understand your history and pay respect for those that paved the way. We hope you agree. In 2008 we set up the “Solo Hall of Fame”

A year by Year Overview will be added in the early part of 2012.
